Question

Target colours and clipping in Auto corrections options has a bug

Hello everyone,

In order to colour correct photos, I'm used to create a Curve layer, click on the 3 lines menu on the top right of the curve menu, choose "Auto options"which opens a window named "Auto Corrections Options".
There are 4 algorythms you can choose (as per the attached file). You also have the option to manually target the highlights, mid tones and shadows area (using the colour picker) of your picture for tweaking purposes.

However, it's been a while that this option has been buggy and does not work. If you choose the shadows and use the colour picker to select a dark area of your photo, the image becomes completely white
If you use the colour picker of the mid tones or the highlights, it does not work. It does not select any colour in your photo. Therefore, it is impossible to do a manual white balance with this option which is meant for that purpose.
Is there someone from Adobe in this forum who can bring the issue up to address this problem?
That would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible to clarify?

This is useful but I'm betting anything you forgot to click on this: See attached photo. It worked for me.
