Text tool Frozen after clicking on a text and editing

Hi everybody and thanks in advance for your help. Been a while since I'm having the same issue when i use the text tool... after clicking on a text and editing it, I press Enter or escape and nothing happens, it just frozen, and stop working.

Any ideas?

Hi Paul,

As you've mentioned that Photoshop text tool is freezing, this could be because of a corrupt font or system cache. Please refer this article Troubleshoot fonts issues in Adobe Photoshop CC, 2015, 2014, CS6, CS5 and let us know if that helps.
