When in drawing using the brush tool with any colour, if I stop drawing and start again and then go over the lines again the colour will be black but only if it is over the same colour.

@mubashra_8137 Your brush is also set to 'Subtract' in the options bar. Change it to 'Normal'.

Yes -- change it back to normal and that should fix your problem!

Good catch! @Semaphoric

Let us know if that works!

Hi!

What version of Photoshop are you using? And can you show us a screenshot of your document window with the options bar and Layers panel visible?  Also, a screen shot of your brushes panel visible would be helpful too.

One thing that you can try is resetting the brush tool. With the Brush tool selected in the tools panel, click on the Brush tool icon you see in the Options bar and it will open the presets window. Click on the gear icon and from the dropdown menu select Reset tool. If this stops the problem from happening, then you are good to go, but if not, then please respond with the above info and screenshot.

Thanks!

Michelle

Hi,

I'm also having the same issue, however, I've got everything that has been mention before?

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Oh, thank you so much. I was looking at the Layers mode dropdown menu.

Thank you once again.
