Question

Thumbnail borders*

I'm hoping this is a common issue...I'm working on some youtube thumbnails in photoshop, and for all of my completed thumbnails I have placed a gradient border around the image using the stroke feature...I have started to experiment with using gradients in the actual image, and now the gradient on the image erases the the border I create using the stroke feature....I would like to use the gradient feature on the image and still keep the border around the image using the stroke feature..can this be done?

With the Color Fill Layer with the Gradient in the layer mask active go to Layer>Create Clipping Mask.

That will put the gradient/color fill inside of the Stroke on the below layer.
