My Warp/Transform/Disort are grayed out when editing smart objects (works for rasterized) I have very limited knowledge when it comes to hardware so I need some help. I have been reading this post
https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/perspective-warp-option-greyed-out/m-...

and tried to follow the adive given there but the option "Use Graphics Processor to Accelerate Computation" doesn't even show up for me to select.

Screenshot 2021-09-23 153036.jpg

- My graphics card: Nvidia geforce rtx 2060 super (Windows)
- I went into device manager to check that my Graphics card was up to date and it is
- changed Artboard to 8bit from 16 bit (no change)

- checked settings Performance - "Use graphics processor" and Use OpenCL" was checked when I opend it (but as mentioned the setting "Use Graphics Processor to Accelerate Computation" doesn't show up for me.

Can anybody tell me what else I can do or what I did wrong? See screenshots.
The "solution" in the linked post was to rasterize the layer but that is not an option for me for different reaons, I need it be remain a smart object.

Thank you in advance, if I forgot to mention something please let me know.

»And why can't I edit a vector smart object? Is my hardware not good enough?«

No, that is just the nature of Vector Smart Objects.

When you convert a Vector Smart Object to a Smart Object you will naturally increase total filesize but you can warp the SO while still maintaining vector editability for the SO inside the SO …

Is the Smart Object a Vector Smart Object or a plain pixel Smart Object?

If it’s vector then convert it to a Smart Object …

Ahhh, you might be onto the root of my problem here.

I didn't know there was a difference between smart objects and vector smart objects...

These elements are created by me pulling a vector-based PDF into my Artboard, I never knew that when I do that it is not a smart object because the Icon you get is identical to a smart object. Also the option "convert to smart object" is always available even when I just converted it to a smart object which added to that.

So... what am I creating when I drag/drop a PDF in like that (there are reasons why I want to do it specifically like that) is that called a vector smart object? How are they different? And why can't I edit a vector smart object? Is my hardware not good enough?

Thank you!
