Question

Troubles reducing stroke size

Hi! I have an issue: I want to resize existing strokes and reduce them in sice, but Photoshop only lets me resize them to larger ones in width. All instructions I find only say the same "go to edit, stroke, and choose the size/width", but even if I only choose 1 pixel, it adds this pixel to the existing strokes in that layer. Is it possible to resize the strokes to thinner ones?

I have a separat layer for strokes, where I have my panel lines for a comic book story.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you in advance for your help!!

It sounds like you might be applying a stroke as a Layer Style instead of modifying the existing stroke. To modify the stroke width of a shape, select it using the Path Selection Tool or the Move Tool, and in the Properties panel (Window > Properties), change the value for the stroke width (it's the field under where you set the stroke color).
