Try to draw a line, get an arrow

I need to insert a simple straight horizontal 2px line in to a  PS doc. I've done this many times before, no problem. Something's changed, however.

Now when I try to draw the line I get instead a HUGE black arrow. It's persistent, takes up a lot of space, and doesn't want to surrender the cursor. I have to delete the arrow's VSO to get rid of it. Don't know if I accidentally triggered something; if so I can't find an "undo".

How do I get the simple line tool back?

Thanks,

EdB

Hi

What version of Photoshop and operating system do you have, have you tried resetting the Tools

If that doesn't help try a preference reset
