I do not use camera raw. Now it opens everytime I open a photo. It's annoying. How can I uninstall camera raw. I have already deleted the apps on my mac and opened older versions. I can not find any plugin with the name camera raw.

Go to Camera Raw preferences, and disable jpeg/TIFF support. Camera Raw preferences are accessible from ACR, Photoshop or Bridge.

If jpegs or TIFFs have previously been processed in ACR, they have ACR metadata and will continue to open there - unless you disable it in preferences. Then they will open directly into Photoshop.

If that's not it, the question makes no sense. You obviously need ACR to open raw files.

If you are opening RAW files in Photoshop then you will need the Camera Raw app. The only way it won't open is if you are saving the files from your camera to your computer as JPEG or other formats. But so long as you shoot raw photos, then you need the raw app to process them.
