Upgrading 2015 iMac to OS Monterey 12.4
Here are the specs on my current iMac:
Running Mac OS: 10.14.6 Mojave
iMac (Retina 5k 27-inch, Late 2015)
Processor 4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk iMac 1TB HD (Flash Drive)
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB
My Questions:
1. My current Photoshop installed versions are Ver 20.010, 21.2.12, 22.5.9.
2. My current Lightroom installed version is Ver 4.4
3. I cannot upgrade to any later (PS - LR) versions because of my Mac OS (Mojave 10.14.6) being outdated according to Adobe.
4. If I upgrade my current 2015 iMac 27 to Mac OS (10.14.6) to Monterey 12.14 will that affect the speed of running the latest versions of Photoshop (ver 24.0) and Lightroom (ver 6.0) on my current iMac?
5. If my PS & LR performance will be affected by going to Monterey, what if I upgrade to Big Sur Mac OS 11, any performance issues here on a 2015 iMac 27?

Did I post my query in the wrong community?

yes. using the community forum is for discussions about the adobe forums.
there isn't a clearly correct forum for your questions. ie, one about lightroom and one about photoshop. but i think it's best to start (and probably end) with the more demanding (computer resource-wise) app, photoshop.

What forum should I post to, i.e. if I stick with Photoshop?
How do I locate this forum?
Appreciate your help.

you can click you thread title in your email box ("Upgrading 2015...") to go directly to your thread. and you can click on forum name in your email message to go to the forum. generally, you want to see your thread and respond and read posts there.
or you can start here, https://community.adobe.com/

OK, I started over and found the Photoshop forum, I think?
Thanks again for the prompt replies to my querries.

your post is already in the photoshop forum where i moved it. wow, you really needed to post a message in "using the community" for how to (and how not to) use the adobe forums.
bottomline: don't start any more threads about this topic.

Thursday, November 17, 2022, 7:04 AM I am the producer of this forum query. I find it odd that there were 68 views but no one had any answers to my questions. Does anyone know how I can now contact Adode technical support since it appears no one on this forum can help me.

Looking at your iMac specs, can't say for sure since there are many variables, but most likely the latest photoshop cc 2023 (ps ver 24.0) and Lightroom Classic 12 should run fine.
Issues i see are that LR 4 and Lr 6 and ps 20 and ps 21 won't run or won't work well, so you should unistall those applications before upgrading to Monterey.
Also, any 32 bit applications you may have will not run on Monterey.
You can check which applications are 32 bit by going to Apple>About This Mac>System Report>Software>Applications and look under the 64-Bit (Intel) column. Much better/easier to remove before the upgrade than after.
