Using Generative Fill AI to replace word in an image (same font, etc.)

Looking to replace some text in an image that's overlayered with a stamp.

When I select the area (see attached image) and add the word I want to replace, Generative Fill spits back some weird language. Any ideas how to adjust (change language, etc.)?

Thanks!

I have the same question; I'm suprised this isn't a more popular topic as there are many applications for being able to do this. I also get weird language/goblygook outputs when I ask it to replace word with something else, which I put in quotes.

It's not just AI in Photoshop. See this article from PetaPixel for details about generated text:

Since you have Photoshop, you can use its Type tool to create your text.

Thanks; it is time consuming to match text using the Type tool if you're just changing one word to match the rest of the words in an image, and the image is an old jpg. It seems like AI could easily be trained for this, I hope they add it in the future.

Yes, I think we all hope for that! 😊 Until then, use Photoshop's Type tool.

For example, here is what it gives me for the prompt "change words to "Snakes/Turtles"
