v.25.11.0 Warp Tool mesh keeps disappearing

Hi, 

I'm having issues with the Warp tool, if I click out of the image that I have created a warp for the mesh dissapears. The only way I can get it to re-appear is to litterally go back to and select transform/warp.

I also noticed when I now create a smart object, the box no longer shows the "X" so I can no longer right click within it to create a warp mesh. Is there a preference setting that needs to be turned on?
