@Fadamia Photoshop version 26.0 requires a CPU with AVX2 support, you can continue using the previous version available from the Creative Cloud app.
Pre-2013 CPU's do not have AVX2

@Fadamia that's something you need to take up with Adobe, you really can't expect pre-2013 PC's to run all modern software, hardware requirements change all the time as software is being developed/progressed

You can continue using a version that works until you can upgrade your computer and OS. Until then, be sure to turn off automatic updates for applications in the CC app.
In the past 35 years, I've had to replace my computer multiple times because it would no longer work with new software, but I cannot imagine using a Compaq 286 and Mac SE/30 with today's applications.

@Ged_Traynor
That's the complacent view of Adobe's collusion tricks with other corporations to sell new equipment, taking out of circulation equipment perfectly capable of running professional programs much more demanding than PSv26.
It has already been proven that V26 can be used with AVX (not AVX2), without problems, so no one buys that argument anymore.

Ancora una volta per utilizzare la versione più recente di photoshop occorre il processore con l'estenzione AVX2. Posibile che la Adobe ci obblighi a sostituire i nostri computer per utilizzare completamente il programma?

I use PS CC, PSBeta CC Bridge & Camera RAW and yesterday I was told to update. Camera RAW will, but when I tried to do the others I got a notice telling me my Processor was incompatible. I have the update request notice blocking part of my workspace which I cant remove, and I cant now upgrade the software. Is adobe telling me I have to spend 1000's on a new PC for me to be able to use the software in future?
Any ideas of what I can do
The issue is AVX2 apparently, screenshots attached

to remove the popup, reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:
Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

That worked on PS, but not PS Beta where it just brings up performance overlay, ahh well. My CPU has worked fine with PS until this update, has the AVX2 requirement been added in this update? Its just this issue that is stopping the update. all else specwise is fine

Yes I'm aware of the specs, which means I'd need to spend a huge amount of money on a new PC if I wanted to continue with PS CC - What I mentioned above though relates to the update message that appears in my work spce causing a further issue. Ctrl+alt+R doesnt remove it

if you want to remove the update notifications you can do that in your cc preferences.

Often "community experts" just repeat Adobe's guidelines, without questioning them as unethical. It has already been proven that PSV26 works with AVX in its Beta version as well as in its final version (when tested by installing without using Creative Cloud Desktop). That is, there is no technical reason that prevents using PSV26 with AVX processors, but a commercial attack to get people to stop using perfectly capable computers and buy a new one, benefiting Intel, AMD, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. who act in collusion and arbitrarily. So, these companies act AGAINST the community. And if you accuse them of such, in this forum, the moderator accuses you of violating community standards, which ends up being a joke with no grace.
