VisionTek VT4000 Universal Dual 4K USB Dock Photoshop Problems

This is a comment I found on Amazon.com relating to the above-referenced laptop docking station.

"Beware if you if you use hardware acceleration in programs like Photo Shop etc.. it will not be available unless you plan to use one of your laptops HDMI port to engage the graphics processor so that the program can detect it."

Why does this problem exist, and what other kinds of problems / issues can be encountered using a docking station to connect peripherals and work with Adobe CC / Photoshop, etc.?  Thank you.

That just stating that  connecting to your VisionTek VT4000  docking  station to your Laptop via USB connection will not be able to use your Laptop's GPU for displays  contented  you docking station HDMI ports or Disply Ports.  If you need GPU support connect your external display to your Laptop external display connector. If you do not require GPU acceleration you can have your external displays connected to you VisionTek VT4000  docking station video ports. Basicly the VisionTek VT4000 is a USB3 hub with HDMI and Display ports connected to you computed via USB 3. Eveything is supported through that USB C connection to your laptop. It is not a problem it is how the device was designed. If the VisionTek VT4000 has a GPU it will not be the same type of GPU ins you Laptop. Photoshop do not support multiple types of GPU.  So you would need to connect your external display to your Laptop external video for use with Photoshop. Its  SPECIFICATIONS:
• Supports 2x Displays via HDMI or
DisplayPort • 6x USB 3.0Ports
• 2 Chanel Headphone Jack
• Audio Line In (Microphone)
• Gigabit Ethernet – RJ 45(10/100/1000)
• Built-In USB 3.0 GPU, plug and
play certified by DisplayLink
• Warranty: Two Year Limited

All docking stations are not connected via usb. Some Laptop have dedicated docking station the connected via special connection. I do not know it there is still possible these days. I have not looked ad laptops in years. I find they them expensive.
