I am using the current subscription of Photoshop. When I use the warp tool, and use the controls to warp, the preview image is inverted.  The preview action also happens on the opposite end.  I uninstalled and reinstalled PS, but issue persists, any solution ideas? Thanks

Well that's a strange one.  If it has persisted past a reinstall, then it problably means it is happening with all images, and not one particular image, but can you confirm that?

You might not know that reinstalling Photoshop does not reset Preferences, and I am inclined to sugest you do that right off the bat, but before you do that, can you clarify your workflow?

Do you use Ctrl T to start Free Transform?

Do you right click and choose Warp, or do you select the warp tool from the Options Bar.

And at that stage, the preview becomes upside down?

Is that what is happening?

Check out this thread. It refers to Perspective Warp, and is a known issue.

Hello Dennis,
Thank you for the suggestions for rectifying the warp tool preview.

Following your suggestion, I reset preferences and followed the workflow
you suggested. Ctrl + T, right click -choose warp, warp option bar: custom,
but I am still having the same issue. I also tried with different files,
they all do the same thing.

I will also contact Adobe help, this morning they were a bit hard to reach.

Thanks again for your help. Have a wonderful day.

Best,
Vasanth.

@elba010401 please read the link @Trevor.Dennis provided it has a workaround but this was also resolved in more recent PS releases I believe. What version are you using?

Try Below steps:

Adjust GPU Settings:
  • Go to Photoshop Preferences > Performance.
  • Check if "Use Graphics Processor" is enabled.
  • Consider enabling "Older GPU mode (pre 2016)" in the Technology Previews section if you suspect GPU compatibility issues.

After changing these setting please restart Photoshop.
