I would like to add water drops to the cat's face so it mimics the Man Ray shot below. I have tried the usual elliptical marquee and gradient tool but just can't seem to get it right and I can't seem to copy the water drop more than once after creating the Group 1 layer.
Thank you for any help.
Hi
A left field alternative, you could make a 3D postcard from your image and add some spheres to the surface. You can make them oval by scaling in one direction only, then position them so that only the top part of the sphere is above the postcard surface. Adjust the reflection, opacity and refraction properties then render.

Use one of these images of water drops on black-
cut out the ones you want and use a transfer mode to composite. theres not much detail underneath but if you need to you can spot-treat with some slight spherize filters
