Weird issue with Gradient Stop Color Selection.

New Here ,
Nov 17, 2016 Nov 17, 2016

I'm having an issue with CS6.

I'm trying to choose colors on the gradients.  When I do so and click on different places of my PSD it is selecting white for the gradient stop.

I'm unable to choose colors from my image to be applied as gradient stops with the eye dropper tool.

Any ideas on this one?

Do you possibly have a layer mask selected?

That is def a possibility.  I had come to that conclusion and thought that I tested against it.  But will try again when I get home and report back.  Thank you for your response.
