what does the # mean when it's in the doc name (RGB/8#)??

I believe it has to do with color profiles, # isn't color managed or doesn't have an ICC profile...I think,  I could be totally wrong

Exactly right! Untagged RGB. Which is always bad news.

So untagged RGB are why they don't show up in explorer???!!
