What features in PS 26 requires Sonoma

I'm still running my mac on Ventura 13.X because of stability issues and print driver issues between Apple and Epson and other bugs. I just upgraded PS to PS 26 and recieved a message on launch that some features of ps may not work correctly with "older versions of macintosh". But what might those features be? What won't work correctly without Sonoma?

This is on a mac studio pro M1 Ultra

@bellevue scott it would be great to know, I'm in the same boat as you, I'm a reluctant MacOS early adopter. 

ps, I believe its spelled 'Sonoma' - maybe you can edit your title, as some may search "Sonoma" and miss your post.

I'm surprised nobody here has been able to answer this. What specifically requires Sonoma and why did I get that warning? My experience is that there is nothing in the new OS that I need. Most new OS features are there to provide Apple with new ways to sell you something. With Sonoma, the print settings bugs were enough to keep me away.

I also installed photoshop 2025 on mac OS and had the same problem. Haven't found a solution yet

I'm not a Mac user, but I think it isn't one or more specific function(s) of Photoshop that reqiures Sonoma.

The whole code or bigger parts of it would be adjusted and optimized on the new operating system.

Thank you for the response, but this is just speculation on your part. With all due respect, I'm looking to know what functions of Photoshop require Sonoma, or what in general was optimized that requires Sonoma.

Yes it is, I didn't say anything else.

If you want to know exactly, you have to try to contact Adobe directly. This is a public forum and Adobe's employees don't read the comments here regularly.

This is Adobe's prefered method for users to get support and help, and there are Adobe mods here. Besides, Adobe doesn't have any real support. For all practical purposes, this is it. Still looking for answers on what features require Sonoma.

I updated another computer to the latest Adobe PS 2025 and got the warning again. This time I copied the warning. I also went and read the notes that are linked in the warning, and there is zero mention of what actually requires Sonoma or later. 

I really find it unacceptable that Adobe would throw a message like this, which suggests the program won't function correctly, and then have no mention of why, with no specifics at all.

Reiterating that I think this message from Adobe is complete nonsense since nobody can tell me what features. This feels like yet another attempt to force users to ugrade their computers when there really is no good reason to do so.

Still no answers from Adobe. I've tried chat too. I think they just want us to update the OS and buy the most current HW.
