What happens to my paid for third party plugins

I am an astrophotographer, I have a number of special Astro special plugins I am using with CS5 extended,  I think I would be better off to upgrade to the latest and greatest.  I really need camera RAW but I don't want to lose my paid for third party plugins.

If I upgrade to a monthly plan for photoshop what will happen to my plugin apps.

Hi

You may have an issue if the plug ins are designed to work with 32 bit Photoshop. See here:Download 32-bit Photoshop on Windows

If your plug ins are compatible then you will to install them in teh common files folder, so that they keep appearing through any CC updates. See here:

If your CS5 plugin licenses are valid for the Creative Cloud, you should be able to install them directly. You just want to make sure your licenses are compatible with CC2019

Depending on the plug-ins, you will just install them into the new version of photoshop. Some of them may need some upgrading though since CS5 is quite a while ago. Many versions since then, so the plug-in's might not be compatible without upgrading them. If they are things you use on a very regular basis, i would make sure of the versions you have now and check in to upgrading them. It may not be a free upgrade depending on what the plug-in is.Do the research on them all first to avoid disappointment later.
