Question

What's the fastest/easiest way to remove this difficult background?

I have a higher quality version on my computer, just couldn't upload the HQ version.

Usually I do either the magic wand tool or in the menu I'd choose Select > Color Range, but neither work in this case because it selects so much of the product as well. Alternatively, I would painstakingly use the Eraser around the whole thing, but I have several photos I have to do this to.

I was going to try using the Magnetic Lasso tool, but its all of a sudden not there. Did Adobe get rid of that tool?

Currently trying to use the Quick Selection Tool, but it's almost as time consuming as the Eraser with all the corrections I have to make.

Any suggestions? If it matters, I'm using version 22.5.0

A couple of minutes with the pen tool and you will have an editable vector mask.

@JJMack

If you double click the mask icon in the paths panel it adds both an empty pixel mask and the vector mask. It can be useful when you have a mix of hard and soft edges.

If it a difficult image there is no easy way. However, masking is the best method. The image you show does not look difficult to select the object and mask the object  However, you may not be satisfied with the result for the object materials is transparent like glass the background color and texture will still be visible through the object.   So it may be easy the isolate the object removing the background all together may be very difficult. Layer masks are none destructive and your can edit layer mask to improve on their quality.

A gray neutral background  without texture is a good to have when object have transparency lighting is also important capturing the image
