When double click text to edit it, a whole column of tabs open. How I stop this?

In Photoshop and After Effects 2023, when I try to edit any kind of text by double clicking it, a whole column of tabs just open automatically(tabs on the red box). Is there any preference setting or something to stop this behaivor?  This never happened before with previous versions, and I never change any kind of settings, I just run it as it came out of the box.

Im running Photoshop 24.0.0, on MacOS Ventura 13.3.1

Does it happen when you initially type text or when you edit existing text? It's opening the three panels that you need for working with type and nesting them.

Can you go to Window > Workspace and tell us if it has switched you to a different workspace than the one you were using before? If you are not sure, use the Essentials Workspace, then Reset it (Window menu). Then try again and see if your workspace has changed or just new panels have opened.

Another idea is to reboot your computer and run absolutely nothing except Photoshop — not even a browser — and try again. Sometimes other applications take over shortcuts.

Possibly you'll need to reset preferences, but let's see if we can figure out what is triggering this first.
