When I deselect pixels it goes blurry

As I expand my pixel image, I deselect the pixels it goes blurry, and by pixels I mean 64x64 pixels, any help is appreciated. I'm on mac by the way

What do you mean by "expand"? Are you doing Edit>Transform>Scale, and scaling it up?  Because you can't do that without blurring the pixels.

So you mean you drag it bigger with the transform tool? No wait that's the same thing I said above. Do you mean you drag an image onto a new canvas? Maybe post a screenshot of what you mean.
