Hi,

CS6

View>show> pixel grid, but its white on my white sheet ! Bit odd Adobe know a new page is white and make the grid white !

I cant see where to make it another colour.

Thanks

Merlin.

Hi Merlin,

In the menus go to: Edit > Preferences > Guides, Grid & Slices
On the right is a section for adjusting the color options of Grids

You could either select a color from the drop down list, or, click in the color swatch to the right and choose any color you would like.

Thanks,

Akash

Whilst that preference changes the color of the grid , it does not change the colour of the pixel grid which as far as I know is not user selectable.

You can raise a feature request at the link below : https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family

HEllo, I don't think that there is a setting for the pixel grid, there are many for the "regular" grid and guides.

I suggest to post a suggestion on https://feedback.photoshop.com

Hi,

I have CS6, they wont backdate a fix.

Its simply nuts that they have white grid when pages start life as white !

All these versions of photoshop over the years and no pixel grid colour choice.

This is a real downer, need it.

Also at that link I post about this, have to sign up to complete the post, but the name and email boxes are unable to be typed in.

Unable to sign in and thus unable to post the problem.

stuck with it forever.

Hi

No, the pixel grid should not be solid white in CS6. It should be gray and white checkered.

  • It this true in all documents or just one?
  • When did it start? Did anything trigger it or happen at the same time?
  • Check your Layers panel. Do you have transparency in your file? Show your Layers panel if you are not sure. If you have a Background layer, then hide it.
  • Have you reseat Preferences? Do this if the other steps don't work. Don't uninstall.
  • When you purchased a license for CS6 from Adobe, did you get the boxed version or the Cloud version? Both were available.

Hi Jane - the pixel grid is white , the transparency grid is checkered. As far as I remember it has always been that way.
