In the latest Photoshop version I am missing the little fat T.. Where is it and why is it gone? With right-click it is available but I need the T...

@Silvan36437301xktu looks like you're using the properties panel for the type tool, have you checked the character panel, you can access it via Window > Character

The reason Adobe removed the B and I from other panels is that they actually create fake bold and fake italic and should not be used. They are legacy. Instead, the character style such as bold or italic, narrow, or Extended or semi bold etc. can be chosen from the options bar or the properties  panel or the character panel. If a type face does not come with that style, then it will not appear. Best practice is not to use the B and I in the character panel
