Why does my screen keep blinking?

I have PS and LR cc running on a iMac 2 years old with 8gb ram and 1tb of hard disk storage. However when I use PS and LR simultaneosly I occasionally get a blink on my screen when moving the mouse. I would have thought 8gb ram would be enough to run these two apps without problems. How can I diagnose the problem?

A blinking screen sounds like an issue with the graphics card. You can try turning off GPU acceleration in both apps.
