Why I can't upload my video into Photoshop?

Hi guys, I tried uploading my video (Layer -> Video Layer -> From File) onto Photoshop and it won't work. I have tried converting it many times. (MP4 -> MOV -> AVI....) and it doesn't work and gives me various responses from (It doesn't open, the format is wrong, etc...). So I have no clue on how to fix it. Any help? I appreciate it by today

Can you post a screenshot of the entire document with the Layers panel expanded and visible? It works on my side, and have you tried resetting preferences that can solve weird problems sometimes.

Sure, I also deleted Photoshop so I'm pretty sure I do reset my preferences that way (it gave me an option and I clicked "yes." I'll send you multiple

 

NC344102901jfo_0-1703250167771.pngSame thing with AVI, FLV, and MP4. When I did MP3 it became entirely a new picture layer and the video didn't even come through so I think that is maybe because the video is corrupted however with FLV and AVI I was able to access it on my laptop but just not able to get it through Photoshop. I recorded this on my A53 Android phone and then emailed it, then I downloaded it. So I don't get how there is anything wrong.

@NC344102901jfo check the codec for the MP4 - is it h.264? It may need to be converted from your phone codec to a more accessible one.

@Kevin Stohlmeyer h.264? No, I have no clue on what that is and it doesn't have an "h" just a bunch of numbers

Use Handbrake (a downloadable video conversion app) to open the file and check the codec. If it is not H.264 use the app to convert it.
