P: Bring Quick Share back to Photoshop (removed from 23.3)

Adobe, bring back the Quick Share button that was at the top right of Photoshop (it was just removed with the April release of Photoshop 23.3)

The reasoning for removing it is stated as "due to low usage, desire to simplify the options bar UI, and redundant functionality to other export functions."

But there is no other export function (that I am aware of) that allows you to send an image directly to another device via AirDrop -- This was extremely convenient as I didnt have to save/export a file onto my HDD everytime I wanted to send something to my phone or tablet.
Please bring it back and tuck it away somwhere if you have to.

Sorry to say, the removal of the quick share button was intentional: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/quick-share.html

UPDATE – 24 April 2022: This reply was marked correct, but things have changed. Since I originally posted this reply, Adobe has updated their help article for Quick Share to say:

Goodbye, Quick Share!
With the April release of Photoshop 23.3, Quick Share will be removed due to low usage, desire to simplify the options bar UI, and redundant functionality to other export functions.

So it looks like Adobe may be removing this feature permanently.

Why remove one of the biggest time savers in Photoshop?

That question has been answered.

This may already have been shared on here... however I will share as I was one of the nay sayers who got rather upset at the NO SHARE... This is for Mac Users (for I am one of them) that may want to share photos to their iphones and iPads. I finished saving a photo to my desktop and just automatically right clicked it to share... and there it is... the ability to AIRDROP right over to my phone, email, message, add to photos. No Adobe needed. Taa dah... and doh in one keystroke!

We all know this function but to not have to save a file in order to airdrop was good especially when we're sending proofs to a client or posting on social media as a work in progress. Now we've gone back to where everybody will have a proofs folder filled with files that are not finals

His question is rather not about the reasons, but the sense of this decision.

Hello

Previously if I wanted to share a file which I'd edited in PS and wanted to send it to iPhotos on my Mac or wanted to send it to Lightroom, I would just click the share button top right and I would be given those options. But now with Photoshop 23.3.1 it seems I have to keep sharing to the cloud. I do not always want to do that.

I cannot find the way to send the edited file into iPhotos or back to Lightroom.

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks

Peter

I also want the share option brought back. I do not use the Adobe Cloud, which now seems to be the only option for sharing. Adobe would like for me to pay a monthly fee for storage space in their cloud. I'm already paying a monthly fee for  Photoshop.

That I know just saying that's pretty much the only other step I know of as well in order to share on mac. I'll try the whole Adobe Cloud thing and try to share from that and see how it is and report back

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.

By @Fotomario.pl

AirPlay was added to the iPad version last fall:

"Canvas Projection: We have added the option to project your Photoshop canvas using AirPlay. To learn more, see Manage app settings."

If you mean AirDrop instead of AirPlay, Dave is correct that it's been removed from Adobe Photoshop although you can still AirDrop your photos from Finder to your iPhone.

I hate this. Please Adobe bring it back. It was a super fast way to share an image to iphone without all work of naming, saving and then sharing to apple device that you do not always need. Pleaxse bring it back. This is silly! Be more user friendly and helps us to speed things up

Is there a hashtag for this? Saying it's intentional is somehow not relevant if the user base wants it back? I want it back. I really really want it back! #BringQuickSharebacktoPhotoshop?

Indeed, seems most here don't understand how or where. 35 upvotes after 5 pages/185 replies, the signal to noise ratio is a major mess here!

The more votes the more chance Adobe is going to take users complaining seriously, but sometimes when removal of feature is intentional (whatever explanation was given) it's less likely voting can help. Probably now when the subject is fresh this thread is going to get much sympathy, but later when customers interest is dying, management might decide there's no really need to reconsider reimplementation of old functionallity.

Hello, at the beginning of this post, a button is supposed to appear where it says "vote" and with that you would be fine.
