Polygonal lasso -> How to DISABLE automatic closing of the selection (by double-clicking)

Hello,
I often work with the polygonal lasso tool. The problem is that if you click too quickly 2 in a row, well the selection closes.

This could be interesting for people who are looking for this.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm NOT looking for that at all. When I make a selection with the polygonal lasso tool, I sometimes close the selection by mistake, and then I have to start all over again (there's no going back once the selection has been closed...!!!).

Where is the option to disable this behaviour?
The option doesn't exist, is it possible to add it as soon as possible please?

MANY THANKS 😊

Yes, please add this!! I work with really large images with a lot of noise and have to manually select what a want to remove the background (smart selection does not work). It is such a pain when I have to do it step by step and often double-click it by mistake and have to start over again...

I agree that a more precise "undo," to undo the closure, or backtrack steps, would be a nice feature to have for the polygonal (and magnetic) lasso. If an accidental closure happens, adding or subtracting from the selection is an option, but it can certainly add a step or two to the workflow.
