2023 photoshop elements won't open. 2020 crashes when trying to print

I upgraded to 2023 Elements suite earlier this year.  Suddenly it stopped opening.  I can use the earlier version(s) that I have, but 2020 crashes when I try to print withing the app.  I can create files that I can print outside of Photoshop, but then I lose the print lines and actual dimensions.  Windows wants to resize to fit the paper.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the 2023 suite to no avail. Suggestions?

Correct answer hatstead

Try resetting preferences. Go to Edit>Preferences>General, and click on the button to reset preferences on next launch. Close PSE and reopen.

PS You don't state whether you are attempting to print via Editor or Organizer. Note that the print engines are not the same. Try Organizer print if Editor fails, or vice versa. Please report back.

Try updating the printer driver.

My printer driver is updated and I forced it to reinstall with the same result.

Sorry.  I didn't think to specify which program since I don't use the organizer... I use my own SSD structure.  I will report that, for 2020, the issue has been resolved with that reset.  Thanks so much!

For 2023 using the lauch screen the organizer opens, but neither Photoshop or Premier will.  Both of those 2 appear to be opening, but neither do (just showing the "wheel" for a while)... ultimately reverting to the launch screen
