Adobe Photoshop Elements Folder on desktop after installation

I have just successfully installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 on my new Windows 10 PC and shortcut appears on desktop to launch it.

There is also a folder on desktop called Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 that contains 150 files in 68 folders and takes up 1.89GB of space.

Is it necessary to keep this folder after installation (used to run Set Up?)/Can I safely delete it to free up space on my main Solid State Drive.

Advice appreciated. Will leave it for now, but unsure as to its purpose....

This installation folder is not necessary once your Elements works fine.

You can always download this folder when you need it. However, it's a good idea to save it on another drive or DVD.

Note that if your SSD is limited in size, the best way to save space is to locate your media files on another normal drive (internal or external). You don't gain any speed in storing the media files on the SSD.
