I am not able to open any of the pictures in the organizer. Says searching for missing file.  I then get the menu that says reconnect missing files and it shows files missing from catalong and the original location, I select the file and select reconnect, but the location is never updated.  None of the photos can be viewed, they all say missing.  I tried file get photos, but that did not correct, I tried find all missing files but the location does not update.

    Moving the files outside of the Organizer should never be done.

    Why did you think that was the solution to your Red X problem?  And please explain what Red X you are refering to.  (Provide a screenshot if possible.) 

    Are you able to move the photos back to their original location?  That should take care of the missing files issue.

      What OS are you using?

      How did your photos become missing?  Normally, this can happen if you moved or renamed the photos outside of the Organizer.

       

      How many photos are in your catalog and are all of them missing, or just some of them?

      Using windows 11, all photos are missing, I click on the date and the photo and all go into the elements organizer search for missing file, I locate and hit reconnect but the photo does not update on the date. I just bought the software and it defaulted to a path and I had many red Xs so yes I did move the photos outside the organizer.
