Question

Aspect ratio=2x3, yet image size 12x18.118. Why the .118?

Shouldn't it be 18, not 18.118, since 12x18.118 is not = to 2x3?

Yes, how do you explain that?

You know the origin of the image, its pixels dimensions...

And why do you bother about it?

Thanks for the reply. I care because the photo lab that makes prints for me now requires that I crop the .118 from the image size, whereas in the past they didn't. I don't get it, and they're not explaining it.

As hatstead says, you can crop it to specification (ask if you want more help).

If you don't want to crop anything on the image, another solution would be to use the menu image >> resize without ticking the 'constrain proportions' box; the slight change should not be visible.

I can't understand why this lab asks for this...
