I have had Photoshop Elements 2022 for 3 years (and have had multiple older versions). With the changes in macOS my version is now not usable after only 3 years. Why would anyone buy a software from Adobe when they will obsolete the software by not maintaining a reasonalbe life of the product? Adobe is purposely invalidating software to make additional sales. This is poor customer service and borderline immoral.
I have been a long standing Adobe user and I am done. I will use other software from now on.
Adobe should be required to maintain compatibility for at least 5 years or give free updates to newer versions.
Such a wast of good customers.

adobe didn't do anything. apple did.
ie, you updated your os to a version that failed ro maintain compatibility with older apps, a common apple maneuver.

Like any software company, if they sell you a license, they have a responsibility to keep it functioning, for a reasonable length of time. All software need updates along the way as the enviroment changes. With Adobe choosing not to update the software. I see this a a complete failure by Adobe as a means to sell more subscriptions and licenses as they don't maintain thier responibilities to their customers. They have lost me at this point.
Bad product and bad support.

Adobe has only offically supported the newest version of PSE and the version just before it- which means, pse 2024 is no longer supported. What does that really mean?
Zero chance of any updates.
Like Kglad said: You ability to no longer use pse 2022 is 100% on Apple, not adobe.
I own MS office 2019- I don't expect Windows to keep updating old software- besides: I just office 365- the free version and all is well.
All of your concerns about " keeping the old stuff going" is a viewpoint shared by many, however, your complaints / concerns simply are just that: you can complain all you want to about older software- but compatiblity with New OS versions is well documented.
For desktop apps, Adobe supports our current apps and two previous major versions of each operating system. For web and mobile apps, we support only the current version of the operating system. For a list of apps and support periods, see Products and technical support periods.
September 18, 2023: iOS 17 - that's two versions prior to the current OS. That date was just a couple of weeks before the release of PSE 2024.
Here is a list of apple OS updates:

I don't believe for a second this is on Apple. I believe it is a marketing strategy to get the most licenses or scriptions sold. Good customer service would highlight value in a software application which includes longevity.
I think this is an aweful vision of customer service and I will take my business elsewhere.
You are all correct, this is a complaint against poor buisness practice and greed.
Thank you
