Blank image in Organizer

I am a relative novice in Photoshop Elements.  I exported some old  photographs in pdf format that had been scanned in using an Epson scanner and associated software.   While all the photographs show up okay when I use the Editor, two of them show up in the Organizer as a blank document with a symbol like a torn page.  I havve tried exporting the documents from Adobe Acrobat into png and jpeg format, and get the same blank document in the organizer.  What am I doing wrong?  I have attached one of the photographs.

I use a desktop with Windows 10.

Just look at the size of the images in pixels.

Max:

72 megapixels (75,497,472 pixels)

To change the number of pixels in the Editor:

  1. Go to Image>Resize>Image Size (Alt+Ctrl+I)
  2. Make sure Resample Image is checked.
  3. Reduce the size of the pixel width.  (The height should be locked and will change proportionally.)
  4. Click OK.

Thank you very much for your prompt and clear answer.  I would never have figured it out on my own.

Thank you.  Is there a way for me to redue the number of pixels in the original photograph?
