Can't download Photoshop Elements 2023 after reinstalling my pc

Can't download it from my acount (Premiere Elements the same problem) after doing a reinstall of my pc.
And ofourse I have a legal version. The download stops at 83% (Error 183) The strange thing is I can download a trial version of Elements 25! Why does adobe blocks it? Do they wnat me to purchase a new version?

For others who may be having the same problem with the 80% download, it often works if you use a different browser for the download.

Have you turned off your firewall and antivirus while installing? That would be the first thing to try. There are more solutions in this post from an Adobe employee.

Thanks, but the strange thing is that I can download the trial version Elements 2025 and that works without a problem!
So, the firewall has nothing to do with it. I also have an old version Elements 12 and that is also blocked.
I guess Adobe blocks the older version when you reinstall the program after a pc-reset and want you to buy the new version.

Welp, to begin with, version 26 hasn't been released yet, I'm sure you meant pse 2025.

Error 183 is a fairly generic error that could mean a number of different problems, from permissions to an aggressive virus checker to a setting on Windows that prevents installation, even video drivers not being updated.

You never have answered the question about your firewall.

Sorry, I meant version 2025, Firewall was of.

Ok, here is my procedure : after reinstalling Windows 11, I first download the latest Windows updates.
Then I go to my Adobe Account and click to download my legal copy Adobe Elements 2023.

The installation begins, but it stops at 80% wit the message: 'downloading is not possible at this moment, try again...(Firewall on or of makes no difference)
Well, I tried again for hundreds of times with exact the same results. The download stops around 80 or 90%.

Today I had enough of it, and I purchased and downloaded the 2025 version.
As I sad earlier, that works fine and I had no problems installing it.

Happy with it, the few free programs on the internet need a long learning time..😉
