I have downloaded and installed the plug-ins that are supposed to make PS5.1 let me create a contact sheet; however, when I click on the folder in "Applications" to open PS in 32-bit mode so the plug-in will work, there isn't an option for "Open in 32-bit mode." The only options are "Shared Folder," which is unchecked, and "Locked," which is grayed out. Therefore, I suppose, I'm still not seeing an option for "Contact Sheet" under File>Automation.
So I tried to open a contact sheet in Bridge. It tells me operation cannot be completed because "the command "<unknown>" is not currently available."
What am I doing wrong? I'm running on a Mac El Capitan 10.11.6.

You need to right click on the Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.app itself and then click on Get Info

I did that. There is no option to open PS CS5.1 in 32-bit mode. The only options that come up are "Shared" (unchecked) and "Locked" (grayed out). In the screenshot shown on the "Rocky Mountain Training" link, instead of an option to open PS in 32-bit mode, it just has an open to click a box named "Shared."

No, you have to go inside the Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 folder and right click on the Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.app and then click on Get Info.

OK, I WAS clicking on the wrong thing, and I was able to tell PS to open in 32-bit mode.
Still, same problem with plug-ins not working. Cannot get a contact sheet to even appear under File>Automation, and when I try to do a contact sheet in Bridge, same error: "operation cannot be completed because the command "<unknown> is not currently available."
I have a second job where I really need to be able to create a contact sheet. Does anyone have any idea why it's STILL not working despite restarting, putting in 32-bit mode, anything?

The directions are somewhat confusing for the installation
I remember the first time i did that and had to do it over multiple times, so maybe look
at the directions again and make sure you put everything in the right places.
There is an automated installer here for the Contact Sheet II plugin if you still can't get it to work:
