cannot open "editor" in ps 10

So, is it Elements 10 or 11?  What methods have you used to open the Editor? Was it working previously on the same machine?  If so, what has changed?  If not, is this a new installation? 

Try resetting the preferences file.  Immediately after launching the program, press Alt+Shift+Ctrl.  A message should pop up asking if you want to delete the Settings file.  Answer OK.

Not quite all. Are you using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements? What operating system are you using?
