Clone Stamp Tool Not Working

I have Elements 14 and for some reason the clone stamp tool has stopped working, and it was working perfectly well previously.

I Alt and left click on the the area i want to clone then left click on the area i want to clone over but nothing happens

Any ideas please?

With the tool selected go to the options bar (bottom right) and click the drop-down menu icon - see image below - choose Reset Tool.
