D/L available with discs?

Dec 10, 2016 Dec 10, 2016

Hi. I sent my grandson a box containing the optical drive version of Elements 15 for Christmas only to find out subsequently that his Windows 10 laptop does not have an optical drive(!). My question, before I have to plan a return remotely, is whether the download version is available in that package as well, since the activate code would be the same. Thanks in advance! - Andy

Please click on the link to the tech note which I provided for your reference. Note the following:

"You need your Photoshop Elements serial number to complete the installation."

The download is free.

The number should be in the box.

Your grandson can download from here:

Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

Another option is for him to copy the CD/DVD to a thumb drive on another computer,  and then install via USB port.

Thanks for your reply, Hatstead. My question should have been clearer: Would my grandson have to buy the download or could he d/l the program for free and activate it with a code in the box that was already paid for?

Trying to avoid a complicated return. Unless this is possible, I will probably resolve this by ordering a USB optical drive to be sent to my grandson. - Andy

Thanks, Hatstead! I didn't realize it was a technical note. I thought it was d/l links only. Sure enough! I had ordered the external optical drive but your quick reply allowed me the opportunity to cancel it. For what it's worth, I am an avid Lightroom user and have been since its Beta inception.

Thanks again and enjoy the Holidays.

Andy
