Elements 11 Organiser import from files or folder

Hi,

I have never used Elements to import images before. I downloaded 5 images from my camera onto my mac under pictures folder with today's date as a subfolder.

Within Elements Organiser I selected Import  -From files and folders

The folder name has correctly appeared under  'My Folders' in Elements 11 Organiser

The five images appear to the right under 'Media'

Issue:-  When I select any of the images I get a dialogue box that states:-

'Searching for missing file'

I then get another dialogue box titled Reconnect Missing Files

Two boxes within one left the other right

Left

Files Missing from Catalog                    Locate the missing Files

Name     Original Location                     Search box

Question:-

Why is the file missing when imported as above?

Can I just import and the file not be missing?

Any other assistance would be much appreciated

Thanks

Missing Files in catalog occur when the files have been deleted or moved from their original location of import from outside of Organizer.

Through Reconnect Missing Files, Organizer tries to auto- reconnect these files by searching them onto your local hard disk.

Request you to please check if you can open these files correctly in OS's file manager at same location from where they were imported.

As a workaround, re-import these files through Import > From Files and Folders.

    Thanks.
