Elements 15 costco purchase

I bought this program at costco.  It will load but will not run on My windows 10 HP desk top.

when I try to start the program it says it has encountered a problem and does not start the program.

I also down loaded the program direct from Adobe and it also does not work.  Does this program work on windows 10 ?

It is sometimes necessary to re-install Microsoft components. But don’t uninstall try a repair.

Hold down the Windows key while Pressing X

Choose Control Panel >>Programs >> Uninstall a program

Highlight Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 and click change on the menu bar. Then choose repair. You may have to repair both X64 and X86 versions.

Then try re-launching PSE15.

I tried what You said and the program still gets the A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

I do not have web companion or lava software on the computer.  The error I get is event ID 1  Adobe setup can not be found.

Can you look for errors in Windows Event Viewer. Take a screen grab and add kit to yoir reply so that we can establish the faulting module and file path.

I also deleted My elements 14 program thing it could be a conflict.

I have never had this much of a problem with a elements program.

I could not make it a jpg so I copied and pasted the log to My reply.  I see it on My end.  I will try the jpg again

OK don’t worry about the jpeg. Your copy & paste log now shows up. Can you try launching the Editor directly; bypassing the welcome screen.

Navigate to:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 15

Inside the Photoshop Elements 15 folder find the application (see image) “PhotoshopElementsEditor” then try right-clicking the application and choose “Run as administrator”

Let us know if that launches the application. If it does you can right-click the icon on the task bar and select pin to taskbar.

Please check if you have LavaSoft Ad Aware installed on your machine.

If yes, please try out the instructions mentioned in the article Error: Editor has stopped working in Adobe Photoshop Elements .
