Elements 2018 not recognizing .jpg files

I just upgraded to Elements 2018, now I cannot import files from card reader. Message is files already exist or are not supported. All files are .jpg

Any suggestions?

Where are the jpeg files from?

Do they open in another program?

They are from my Canon 7D Mark II camera. They open fine in Elements 11.

Do they have the same file name as ones already imported?

Try importing to a different folder.
