Elements 2020 on Windows 10 suddenly very slow to open and also slow to open organiser and editor

After many months of very satisfactory usage of elements 2020 a few days ago I began to experience the problems mentioned above. I have uninstalled the latest win 10 update but this has not helped. Please can someone advise. Thank you.

Ever since the update to 2020 PE, it takes forever to modify the raw image when the image is first opened. I've made all the recommended performace adjustments and it did not help. When will this be fixed?
