I noticed this feature which, the last time I looked years ago, didn't work. Could someone verify this is correct? Name tags, whether generated as face recognition or user input, are written when you use the write metadata to file.
When did you last look? I just checked Elements 2020 and a name tag generated through face recognition, automatically appears in the IPTC metadata keyword tags field. I don' think any changes have been made in the way Elements deals with metadata.
I said “years ago”. Guess I last tried to use PE for metadata in 2018 and got frustrated. Obviously there have been changes in how Elements deals with metadata because it now captures names… who knows what else? Wish it would put notes in a IPTC tag instead of an XMP one…
