I have just paid and downloaded Elements 2026 specifically to use the generative AI features. Every Gen AI "insert image" prompt I try I get the message "We cannot process this prompt. Please edit and try again". The help forums refer to breaching of AI guidelines - but I get this trying to create simple images - e.g. a cat.
My "complimentary" credits are still full - 35. The only way to increase this in future appears to be to subscribe to a monthly package - there is no way to buy a bunch of credits.
All in all, the experience has been disappointing so far.
What am I doing wrong?

Alot depends upon what you are trying to generate. You can't generate sexually explicit stuff, famous people, "two bums", Adobe can be prretty strict with it.
Brush over an area and select something safe like an elephant, see what happens.

I have seen this message once, but only once. I worked out that it happened while a Windows update was taking place in the background. So a solid internet connection is required. Make sure you have nothing interrupting a wi-fi signal or wired connection.

Hi @BobYelland,
Can you please confirm whether you're receiving this message for both Generate Image and Insert Object, or only for Insert Object? Also, is this observed only with some prompts or with all prompts you've tried?

Medha

Hi Medha - I only have problems with Insert Object, Generate Image seems to work fine. I have now partially solved the problem - the resolution of the image appears to be important. At A0 (9933 x 14043 pixels at 300 dpi) it does not like to create any images. However, at A2 (4961 x 7016 pixels at 300 DPI) it seems more happy, although temperamental. Whilst it created a bronze statue of a labrador, it would not create a bronze statue of an old English sheepdog! I have also determined that it does not like to add a newspaper to an image at any resolution - perhaps this could lead to creating fake news? Adding an image to a jpeg is easier than a multi-layered psd - sometimes layers need to be simplified. I am using Windows 10 - not sure whether this is impacting anything.
I am definitely not requesting anything visually offensive! It would be helpful if the error messages would explain whether the issue is the specific request or a problem with the file resolution or filetype or layer issue.

Thanks for the detailed analysis, @BobYelland. I've passed on these details to the concerned folks.

Medha
