Face not recognized in closed eyes option

So, I have a photo with five people; four faces are recognized with the appropriate grey/blue circle.  One is not.  That figure is lined up straight, and fiddling with lighting and the other settings does not produce recognition of the fifth face.  There doesn't seem to be any difference between the unrecognized figure and the four recognized figures.  Any suggestions?
