Feeling stupid: Can't find the line tool
I need the line tool and can't seem to find it. If I'm not being blind and it's really gone, how do I get it back? I'm using Photoshop Elements 9 and this is my toolbox.

Right click on the Shape Selection Tool. It is nested there along with other tools.
