Hoping for some help with PSE 15 recently used files list

I am a casual user of Photoshop Elements 15... so I cannot justify paying for a subscription or an upgrade right now... I am just sticking with 15 in spite of the following difficulty for which I have not been able to locate information even after much searching: Fixing or at least clearing the recently used files list. I am using PSE15 on a Mac and, though I found some help for Windows users, I have not located help for Mac users. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful. Thanks!!
