Question

How Do I Licence Adobe Photoshop Elements 14?

I have been looking for a good Photo Editing Software.  I used to have PSE 7 but when my latest Windows 10 Pro 32-bit Version 1803 update was installed, that PSE 7 did not work.  I found Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 and liked it. It also is the last version that runs on 32-bit.  I downloaded the Trial and everything works HOWEVER when I went to buy it, I am pushed over to PSE 2018 - a 64-bit software that does not work on my machine.  I then bought a PSE 14 from Amazon.ca and when I received it at home and tried to enter the Redemption Code, I was told that that Redemption Code was no longer active.  I tried for a full day to get help from Adobe itself - all unsuccessfully.  Finally one tech person suggested that I try the Adobe Forums - so here I am.  Can anyone help?  Hope so.

Could you please confirm, where do you enter the redemption code?

Is it during the installation workflow?

Redemption code is different from a serial key which can not be used to activate the full product. Using the redemption code, you would get a serial key which should be used to activate the product.

    Thanks

I am not sure if I am going to answer your question correctly - or fully.  That being said, I do have a Trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 already running and thus I really only needed a Licence Number to make it permanent - and in order to get the Licence Number, I needed to get a Redemption Code.  I got that Redemption Code by buying the Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 through Amazon.ca and when I received that software (and the Redemption Code), I entered that Redemption Code at www.adobe.com/go/getserial (as instructed).  It was here that the error message popped up that my Redemption Code was not active.  In other words, I never ran the CDs/DVDs that I received from Amazon.ca - which BTW stated that I had to get my Serial Number BEFORE installing the software.  Hope that that answers your question.

In this case, could you please contact Amazon and tell them that the redemption code they delivered is not active, they should be able to help you with a new redemption code or activate this one.

See this tech note as it relates to the recent Widows update.

Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

PSEv.2018 is the latest iteration of the software supported by Adobe.

I would contact Amazon digital to inquire about the redemption code issue. Perhaps this is related to the WIN update which has raised havoc - see the many postings on this board.

Thanks.  I tried the Integer change - without success.  I also chatted with Amazon digital and they said that the latest version of Windows (version 1803) would not have affected whether an Adobe Redemption Code was active or not.  They suspect that Adobe has deactivated all or many of the older versions of Adobe Elements in order to push buyers to the newer versions - a response that does not make sense to me because: a) Not everyone has 64-bit Windows; and b) Selling a product produces revenue whether it is a new product or an older version.  I can understand not supporting an older version (again, because of cost) but not selling it at all does not make any sense to me.  Thanks for replying.

For anyone reading this, my question is still not answered.  I hit the Assumed Answered button by mistake.  Sorry.  Still looking for an answer to my question.
