How do I resize the drop-down menu box?

Go to Edit>Preferences>Display & Cursors and see if it helps to change the UI Scale Factor setting.

If that doesn't work, you can try playing around with the Windows Settings>Display resolution and Scale and layout settings to see if it makes any difference.  (Right-click on the desktop and choose Display settings.)
